Sphere Solutions are working with a leading and innovative organisation to source reliable, flexible and motivated female care and support workers for their team in Ivybridge and the surrounding area.

The role will include a combination of day time, evening, overnight sleep-ins and weekend shifts to provide annual leave, sickness and training cover as required.

These positions offer either part time hours (up to 20 hours p/w), or a full time position of 37.5 hours p/w. This role will include a high element of short notice cover, so flexibility is essential. This is reflected in the higher rate of pay.

We are looking for reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic people with excellent communication skills to support people in their own homes and out in the community. You will be working alone or part of a team supporting people with various needs, such as Learning Disabilities, Mental ill Health, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders including Asperger's Syndrome.

You will have a person centred approach to supporting people with their day to day living in order to provide a caring, safe and effective service that is responsive to the needs of the people we support. This will include providing support with household tasks, meal planning and preparation, maintaining relationships with their family and friends and with accessing the community.

Being a driver with a full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months is essential. You will require access to your own vehicle and have business insurance in place.

Applicant Requirements:
• Ideally you will have at least 12 months experience of working with people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder's, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health although experience is not essential
• You will need to attend all training offered to you to support your professional progression
• You will be required to support people with their personal care and administering their medication
• This role requires you to be flexible and adaptable to change to suit the needs of the people we support.
