Manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician to compliment the existing Maintenance and Projects Team.
The role will be to attend to the day-to-day mechanical engineering requirements of the site in order to maintain a high level of machine availability to the production department.
The ideal candidate should have served a recognised apprenticeship and must have had previous experience in a heavy engineering industry.
Applicants must be capable of working under pressure
Have extensive knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems and controls
A broad knowledge of general engineering disciplines which will include fabrication, machining, welding skills, pipe and general fitting.
Candidates must have a totally flexible working attitude, have confidence in their ability and be willing at times to work overtime (which may be routine for long periods and excessive for short periods) and/or unsociable hours.
Ability to work alone and/or as an integrated part of a team is essential, as is the ability to work in conjunction with other trades.
Initially the successful candidate will be required to work an alternating two shift system to improve their training. After this initial period you will be required to work an alternating two shift system as the normal working week the hours of which are detailed below:
Week One. 0600 – 1300 Monday to Thursday (total 37 hours per week)
0600 – 1500 Friday
Week Two. 1300 – 2215 Monday to Thursday (total 37 hours per week)
