Client Details A medium sized Construction business based in the Walton-on-Thames area with free parking provided Description The Finance Manager - Construction, role involves: Dealing with the processing of sales receipts Raising of sales ledger invoices Sales ledger reconciliations Direct line management of Purchase/Subcontractor's ledger Clerk Supervision of entry of Subcontractor's Ledger Requests for Payment (RFP) and White Cards Supervision of Subcontractor's ledger payments 2x per month Supervision of entry of Purchase ledger invoices Supervision of Purchase ledger pay runs x2 per month Supervision of supplier statement reconciliations Dealing with all aspects of the Construction Industry Scheme for deduction of Tax (CIS) Including Month end CIS returns via the government gateway Ensuring all Subcontractors are bona fide with up to date UTR references Dealing with monthly VAT returns Responsibility for managing the relationship with the HMRC in general Weekly short term cash flow forecast and reconciliation Bank reconciliation Month end processes: Accruals and Prepayments Sundry payments and receipts Calculation of Cost of Sales and month end journals Reconciliation of Control accounts Responsibility for Petty Cash and processing of monthly expenses Production of monthly Trial Balance and subsequently monthly management accounts Business cash flow and profit modelling in liaison with Sales, Construction and Commercial departments to produce a rolling three year forecast P&L, BS and Cash flow forecast on a quarterly basis. Direct input into and ultimately membership of the senior management tea Ad hoc reporting as required, including: Completion of Annual CITB Levy return Office for National Statistics returns Management of year-end audit process Profile The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager - Construction; MUST have Finance experience from a previous Construction business must have worked in a similar Finance Manager level role will ideally have 'COINS' experience (NOT ESSENTIAL) will be AAT Qualified, or CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified (NOT ESSENTIAL) live locally Job Offer The Finance Manager - Construction, role can pay up to £45,000 Bupa healthcare, company bonus, 25 days holiday, and study support if required.
