Our client is an award winning and leading integrated marketing services company, specialising in data and digital communications whose p roducts and services drive marketing decisions, connectivity and the acquisition of millions of UK consumers. We are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Commercial. The Head of Commercial will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the telesales team, commercial development managers and commercial project manager(s). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and managing a Sales team, defining KPIs’ and driving the performance of the team with a background or knowledge of data and digital marketing, the perfect candidate will help expand the sales team and also develop their existing skills and knowledge. This role requires someone with tenacity and drive to evolve their strategy to exceed targets through constant analysis and motivation of the sales team whilst reporting to MD. We are looking for a high calibre, professional candidate with the following skills : · Experience of managing a business development team with thorough understanding of different sales processes. · Extensive experience of P&L analysis, forecasting, budget management, modelling and delivering sales performance to targets. · A confident, articulate presentation style. · A strong knowledge and understanding of website technologies, user experience, SEM and SEO. · Excellent administrative skills, both written & oral · Experience of responding to tenders and writing proposal and pitch materials and presentations. · Ability to articulate complex solutions in both verbal and written form. · An intuitive mind with the ability to ask the right questions to understand and interpret client and business requirements. · Capability to deal with stakeholders at a senior level. · Excellent communication skills both internally and externally with clients. · A positive and flexible attitude with a drive to both personal and business success. · A good understanding of the importance of delivering the highest level of customer service both face to face and over the telephone. · Ability to multi task, prioritise and manage own time. · Experience of workflow and project management software e.g. , Trac, Mantis, Trello, PODIO, MS Project. · Experience of CRM, forecasting and reporting via Sales Force · Experience of an agile or scrum environment. · Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by overseeing, critical sales processes, skills development and product knowledge development. · Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximising business relationships and creating an environment where sales team and customer service flourish. · Responsible for delivering agreed sales plan revenue, maintaining expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s products & services via the sales team. · Overseeing, monitoring & reporting of: annual sales targets on a weekly basis, advising management of outcomes, re-forecasting by sales person, product and service (based upon MLO & sales forecasting techniques e.g. % likelihoods/sales stage etc.) · Monitoring and management of sales force operating costs and related sales promotion/training/event plans. · Responsible for the planning, recruitment requirements, direction and organisation of sales staff to accomplish specific objectives and personal KPI’s. · Responsible for reporting on the performance of the sales team by owning a system of reports and communications involving sales reports and cyclical sales meetings · Running an appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual sales and commission targets and administer the commission plan.
