Our client is looking for a Head of Supply Chain as a newly appointed position with full autonomy over Supply Chain Planning functions including Forecasting, Inventory, Logistics and Customer Supply. Description Reporting to the Operations Director and leading a management team of 5 the Head of Supply Chain is a senior management role within the business that holds the following areas of operational responsibility: Order processing Customer service Demand planning Coordination and tracking of new product launches, reformulations and artwork changes Supply planning Materials planning & control (goods In : goods out) Warehousing and Inventory control Management of the 3rd party logistics contracts and dispatch performance KPIs Development of business systems and in the event of expansion, future integration of other sites into Profile In-depth supply chain knowledge of systems & processes from supplier to consumer Expert knowledge on demand planning and management Financially astute, awareness of commercial drivers Ability to deliver 'best practice' & service improvement through the team Demonstrated FMCG supply chain background in FMCG Food or Drink Manufacturing Decision making and management of diverse and integrated situations where both the 'big picture' and detail must be considered - can decide, articulate the issues and secure necessary support Interpret customer expectations and initiatives into effective solutions for both the customer & company Able to influence and negotiate persuasively at senior level internally and externally Analytical approach to problem solving on medium as well as short term Can operate tactically when required but also able to formulate operating plans and longer term strategy Apply key performance indicators to guide improvement and interpret contributing factors Able to present information accurately and concisely, appropriate to the audience Knowledge of development and operation of business systems e.g. SAP ERP, EDI, etc. Excellent IT skills Understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodology In depth knowledge of all aspects / functions within a dairy processing business Job Offer A Competitive Salary, Car Allowance, Benefits Package and Relocation Allowance will all be considered for the right candidate This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/74404626
