Our client, a not for profit organisation are seeking an experienced part time Financial Accounts Manager to join their very friendly team in Taunton. Duties within the role will include: · Reserves: To manage the Companies reserves which are currently held in high interest fixed period deposit accounts. This includes making transfers of surplus funds to high interest accounts where appropriate and in the best interest of this organisation. · Contracts management: Setting up new contracts as needed; maintaining list of contracts, contact details, renewals etc; monitoring contracts for effectiveness and reviewing as needed · Budgets: To prepare and monitor annual budgets with the Chief Executive. To prepare costings for specific projects as and when required. · Accounts and internal reports: o To provide annual accounts and monthly reports for the Chief Executive o To provide periodic financial statements to the Chief Executive and the Board together with commentary and analysis as appropriate. o To prepare other reports as agreed including progress against internal targets, sales analyses, etc. · External liaison, monitoring and reporting: o To liaise with Insurance Brokers and other suppliers as required on matters related to their organisation (for example for compliance). o To monitor and report on commission and other agreements with external parties o To liaise with their auditor as required; provide accounts including end of year adjustments to the auditors, and act as main contact for the onsite annual audit. o Negotiating rate rebates o Reporting to HMRC and other bodies as required. This includes, but is not limited to, VAT returns calculations and submission including MOSS, and Companies House filing. · Staff related: Responsibility for payroll and the staff pension scheme. · Team support: Providing finance related support to the team as requested. Reports · monthly reports for the Chief Executive analysing budgets and expenditure. · monthly reports for revenue generation areas & summary of progress against internal targets · monthly reports as agreed to analyse sales activities trends · monthly reports on commission arrangements. · Quarterly Financial Reports expenditure vs budgets with commentary. · annual budget, and reserves report · other reports as agreed · The ideal candidate will have relevant and proven experience of the above responsibilities, some experience of MOSS would be an advantage but this is not essential.
