We're growing Co-op Funeralcare and we have achieved a great deal so far. We've made our low cost funeral services accessible to more people than ever before, we've launched our new membership and we are updating our processes and systems becoming more digital. We have some new roles which will help us better serve our clients and create an even better place to work for our people. As a senior funeral director your focus will be driving excellence in how we conduct funerals to the very best standards. This will require you to lead, coach and develop a team of funeral directors across multiple locations whilst building and maintaining really strong and positive relationships with external partners. Not only this, you'll make sure you're talking to your peers across funeralcare too to encourage a consistently great service. You'll be a key part of the management team with decision making at the core of your job with a huge focus on continuous improvement. What you'll do: champion excellence in the direction of 'at need' funerals to drive great operational standards and relationships with clients supervise and coach a team of funeral directors build strong relationships with external partners including community leaders and healthcare professionals work with your counterparts and the wider leadership team to improve our service levels conduct funerals from time to time, role modelling best practice be available for any client queries which need to be escalated This is a real people and community focused role and so we'll need you to have a huge passion for just that. You'll be used to listening to the needs of clients and doing all you can to ensure the highest standards of service. You'll be an inspiring leader with experience of driving high performance, acting as a role model to your team. Preferably you'll have worked within the funeral or a related industry requiring the level of care and emotional maturity this job relies on.
