We are currently seeking a driven and professional candidate with product development/regulatory or quality experience for an exciting new role based in Wellington. Somerset. The role will be very varied and will involve providing expert legislative advice to the company within a technical context and also legislative support to the R&D department. If successful you would be involved in the entire process from development of formulations to meet the Customer brief, co-ordination of project timings & monitoring progress and preparing and updating of work schedules. You will also have responsibility for dealing with initial enquiries on current and potential projects, information gathering /making enquiries for new projects and updating/reporting to the customer on progress on their project. A major part of your role would be to ensure all formulations submitted to the customer comply with relevant legislation and have been fully tested for the specified market and to meet specific customer requirements. Up to date legislative knowledge will be key to your success in the role including keeping abreast of changes in legislation relevant to ingredients, products, processes and environment and ensuring you are up to date with best practice in the industry for the client's main activities and you are able to recommend/implement action where appropriate. The role will also involve line management responsibility for a small team. To apply for this position you will need to have gained experience in a personal care product development/regulatory or quality environment position previously. You will need great project management skills and have the ability to interpret detailed and complex legislative information and to provide site management with clear reports/updates as required. Ideally you will hold a degree in a Science related discipline (or equivalent/ experience in a relevant role) and have very good IT skills. You will need outstanding communication skills- written and verbal and be committed to ensuring the highest quality standards are adhered to at all times.
