Job Title: Customer Service Assistant

Job Type: (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Tiverton, Devon

Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work:

35-hour week. (Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm. A full 1-hour for Lunch.)

The company is a world-leading manufacturer of linear motion systems and automation components. They have been leading the development of V Guide technology since 1969, and continue to develop innovative linear products that offer new solutions to design engineers.

As part of their busy Sales Department, you will be providing a full range of administrative and customer support to their clients, both domestically and worldwide. Full in-house training and ongoing mentoring will be provided for this interesting and varied position.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills to include, interpersonal, verbal and written.
  • Call handling and customer service skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem solving.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office.


  • Respond to customer enquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service enquiries.
  • Provide price and delivery information.
  • Set up new customer accounts.
  • Process orders and requests.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Maintain customer accounts.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.

A degree of flexibility will be required as the Department is operational between 8.30am and 5.00pm, therefore you may also be required to work the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm on a rotational basis.
