Our client based in Swindon requires a Payroll Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

In this key role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate payment of a large number of employees covering two separate payroll systems spread across various areas of the business many of whom work different complex shift patterns, many of which are subject to regular review and change in order to support production flexibility.

As a forward thinking payroll manager and a recognised subject matter expert in resolving payroll issues you will also continuously look for improvements in operational processes and designs.

Main responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:
• Ensuring that the payroll function is fully compliant with all legal statutory regulations and requirements
• Act as key point of contact for employee and managers on payroll related queries
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of multiple monthly payrolls
• Develop the team through coaching, counselling and implementing workable solutions to business issues
• Conducting work planning, estimation, prioritisation and implementing quality control measures to work with the Department Head to define standards and reusable approaches for Payroll operations
• Interpreting day-to-day business objectives and preparation/execution of operational practices/work programs
• Defining standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll operational framework
• Identifying process improvement initiatives and defining standards for new processes
• Processing monthly payrolls ensuring audit processes are followed and reporting is complete for each payroll and each pay cycle

To be considered for the position of Payroll Manager you must be/have:
• A proven track record in all areas of Payroll management and processing
• Experience with SAP payroll systems
• Highly Familiar with budget development and management
• Team management experience including proven ability to coach and develop
• It would be highly advantageous to be a Member of CIPP or working towards.
