An excellent opportunity has now arisen for 2 Housing Management Officers to join us in Devon; one covering Torbay and one covering Plymouth.

Within this role, you will deliver a high-quality housing management service to residents within a defined management patch.  You will support the regional office to deliver the housing management function to residents of the housing association, in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for moving tenants in to properties and showing them how to use all equipment and utilities in the property and go through health and safety information.  Whilst undertaking regular property inspections and tenancy audits, you will also assist the income collections team to manage the level of rent arrears. 

In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager in limiting void rent loss on properties within patch and will liaise with local authority partners in dealing with nominations, lettings and day to day management issues as may arise including attending joint visits.  You will also be responsible for carrying out risk assessments.

In order to be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience of working in a social housing environment coupled with an understanding of delivering services to customers from different cultures and backgrounds.

With experience of use of IT systems for record keeping including databases and spreadsheets, you should have excellent negotiating skills and the ability to deal tactfully with difficult situations.  Furthermore, you should have excellent organisational and time management skills and will be committed to delivering a high quality customer service.

Due to the nature of this role, you will frequently work alone so you will need to be comfortable with this.

Candidates should possess a full UK driving licence
