Our client is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Category Manager to join them for an initial 3 month period. The successful candidate will have proven category management and procurement experience with the ability to lead a strategic category. You will be confident engaging with the stakeholders to understand business needs and to jointly work up category strategies. Alongside this you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement and supply chain strategies with a proven record delivering successful contracts, ensuring they adhere to all relevant EU legislations and value for money principles and commercial success. You will be working within the Commercial and procurement team and will possess the following key skills: - Strong negotiation skills and experience, specifically negotiating contracts with a wide range of suppliers. - Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating proven ability to build trust and influence with across the organisation and with suppliers. - The ability to provide strategic advice and guidance, understanding risk appetites and application of the relevant laws. - Must hold a MCIPS Qualification. The ideal candidate will have SC clearance, however this isn't essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation on an initial 3 month contract.
