Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist Are you considering a move to New Zealand or Australia? Do you have at least 10 years of experience in end to end procurement? We have an exceptional and newly created opportunity that will suit a driven individual up for a fresh challenge in a new country.Taking a strategic approach you will work with senior managers and suppliers to improve the profitability and performance of specific product groups within the business. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and the successful individual will revel in a truly fast paced environment. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage sourcing on current product groups, along with NPD/NPL projects to achieve cost targets, deadlines and budgets. Maintaining and improving COGS according to company and individual targets. Supplier selection and management (at negotiation level) at a Global level. Sourcing for brand portfolio to company policy requirements. Ensure products sourced meet Australian/NZ Regulatory/Safety Standards. Manage Quality issues/Retailer Ethical Standards. Provide Weekly & Monthly Reporting to meet business needs. To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally be tertiary qualified, with at least 10 years of experience in end to end procurement. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: Experience in the Office Furniture Industry ( highly desirable, but not essential) Strong Commercial Acumen - Total supply chain costing/budgetary experience Technical nous - an engineering background or engineering qualification would be helpful Strong negotiation skills Strong project management skills - ability to work on many different products simultaneously Proven track record in managing and co-coordinating many suppliers Calm under pressure - Receptive to change and challenges Able to work to tight deadlines Exposure to formal value Supply Chain methodology Attention to detail Problem solver - resourceful Excellent communication skills Quality control Experience/exposure desirable Ability to work independently Strong team player If you have similar experience to that outlined above and are seriously looking to relocate to New Zealand or Australia, please apply with your CV asap (in MS Word) along with a cover letter that outlines why the position appeals to you and why you think you would be a suitable candidate.
